Welcome to My Practice: A Journey Rooted in Healing and Transformation

My desire to become a therapist sprouted at the tender age of ten. Growing up, I needed support navigating my inner and outer world with a safe adult who could validate and empathize with my experience; I was so lucky to have found that in my therapist. The profound impact of that experience ignited a spark within me- a desire to support others navigating their own complexities. Since 10 years old, I have never wavered from this career goal.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with a diverse array of populations and settings since becoming a social worker and have gained valuable knowledge through being able to support folx from many walks of life. As my practice has evolved, I have found that my true calling lies in working with teens and young adults. Adolescence and young adulthood are times of significant change, self-discovery, and growth. I find immense joy in helping my clients navigate this complex but meaningful phase of life, where setbacks can also be seen as possibilities.

I engage in the work that I do because I have a genuine love & admiration for people. Humans are remarkably resilient and multi-faceted, and being able to explore parts of Self through the context of environment, biology, family, conditioning and culture makes my work as a therapist so engaging. Every day I learn valuable lessons from my clients. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is reciprocal. Research tells us that the strongest indicator of positive outcomes in therapy is a trusting, positive relationship between client-therapist. I truly believe in the healing power of the Client / Clinician alliance and view this as the magic sauce that can make effective therapy feel so transformative.

The guiding principle of my practice is to help you get better at feeling. I don’t believe that therapy is about eradicating symptoms so much as it is about learning to tolerate discomfort while living a more full emotional life. I strive to create a safe, accepting, and nonjudgmental space for my clients. My approach is laid-back and approachable, while also holding you accountable as we uncover the patterns that are keeping you stuck. I am also firm in my belief that you hold inherent worth and value.

For those who are interested in working with me, I offer therapy services in Colorado as well as therapy services in Florida in compliance with state licensure laws. My in-person therapy office is located at 1776 S Jackson Street, Denver, CO 80210.

Outside of my work, I enjoy most of my time with my son, husband and doggy. I love the beach and any opportunity to go for a walk, bike ride, or swim. I find most joy in throwing on a good record, journaling, watching Bravo, finding any opportunity for live music, and enjoying a nice meal with friends. As an avid traveler and general adventure enthusiast, I try to balance my time between what grounds me and what inspires me. Generally, I love meeting new people and finding ways to expand my knowledge and practice. Let’s chat!
